ANOTHER SIZZLING NEW SINGLE COMIN' AT YA FROM RANDA AND THE SOUL KINGDOM: 'IS THIS I'

Created for the dance floor with a driving beat reminiscent of Motown but with a modern twist; 'Is This I' is all about energy and mojo, using horn stabs and James Brown-esque wailing vocals to build to a climax at the end of the song. The lyrics were inspired by observing animals being confused by their reflection in the mirror and how they have no concept of themselves. It’s an observation with parallels to how humans are often unable to recognise ourselves in our own lives, a commentary on human behaviour and how blind we can be to our own existence.

The artwork for ‘Is This I’ pays tribute to Randa’s Middle Eastern heritage with a depiction of the Egyptian goddess Isis, who had magical powers and was a role model for all women.
